Adopt-a-Highway
Adopt-a-Highway: The chapter comes together quarterly to combat litter on Sullivan's Island. We are responsible for keeping Middle Street Clean. We have been a past recipient of the "County Winner of the Year" and "Regional Winner of the Year" for Adopt-a-Highway Palmetto Pride!
Our next beach & street clean-up will be on Saturday, April 9, 2022 as we join forces with Penn State Alumni to clean up Middle Street (from Breach Inlet to Dunleaveys) and the beach along the same stretch. We'll have a breakfast tailgate beforehand at the parking lot by Breach Inlet.
Annual Scholarship Fund
Scholarship: Each Spring the chapter awards a scholarship to a local high school graduate committed to attend Virginia Tech in the Fall.
Each year we choose a service project that we'd like to do locally while students are simultaneously giving back during The Big Event at Virginia Tech.
We will be participating in The Big Event again this year! We are joining forces with Penn State Alumni to host a joint beach & street clean-up on Sullivan's Island on April 9, 2022!
All participants will receive the official Big Event tee-shirt, the same one all Hokies that are participating in Blacksburg receive!
